Almost dead flat, sunny and + 24 C. The breeding was taking place most certainly because pikes were eating super lazy all 4 days and there were splashes in the shallow grass near the shores now that the water temperature has been raising rapidly.
Still i managed to get at least 1 pike on each quick few hours trips. Also had the chance to land a big one, but as i got it next to the boat and was going for the net... suddenly it made a forceful twitch and got loose :(. First time for me to drop a big pike so i was not that cheerful. I also saw a big one following my Fire tiger Big McRubber, but it was not interested enough.
All pikes came with different lures. (picture below missing Buster Jerk in Hot Pike color)
After long dark winter I also forgot about the sun and managed to burn myself (hands, neck, ears, nose and cheeks). Rookie mistake! Also on the last day i decided to try from our home shore (been catching pikes from the shore sometimes) and managed to slip on the wet rocks. busted my knee and wrist a little and my Penn reel is not in mint condition anymore :D. Luckily no bones broken or anything!
Another go maybe after one week or two. Now that we have a 3 week old baby it limits my fishing a bit <3.
